We are excited to offer organic, JUMBO cashews! These premium cashews are creamier than ever and are 25% larger than our previous ones. In "cashew speak", our jumbo cashews are graded as "240W". The "W" stands for "Whole Nut" and "240" indicates the nut volume of 240 cashews/pound (space per pound the cashews occupy). Our previous cashews were graded as "320W". Imagine a small, clear container packed full of 240 cashews. Now imagine trying to fit 320 cashews into the same size container. The 320 nuts won't fit in the container unless you shrink them to a smaller size (Big Cashews take up more space than small cashews). Jargon aside, we hope you enjoy our new, super creamy Jumbo Cashews!!

Premium Cashews - Our Source
Our cashews come from a strictly organic operation in Vietnam, which was founded in 2001. This project now includes one of the few advanced organic cashew factories in the world. The success of the project comes not only from the high quality of the product but also from its positive social impact. The cashew processing plant employs 90 people in a rural area, enabling young people to stay close to their families instead of migrating to the city in search of work. This organization also provides support and training in organic farming. Farmers increase their yields without the use of agrochemicals, often using the same techniques their ancestors used, resulting in higher returns on organically farmed land.
Why We Love Cashews
Wilderness Poets Cashews are heavenly sweet and creamy. Native to the tropics, cashews grow on beautiful evergreen trees. Both the nut (after processing), and the "apple" of the cashew are edible. The "apple" is the large fleshy fruit at the top of the nut (see above image). While commonly considered raw, cashews are processed above 115° F in order to safely remove the shell of the nut. Although cashews are deeply satisfying alone, their versatility as an ingredient is unsurpassed by any other nut. Use them to make sauces, dips, raw desserts, or munch on them by the handful.
